Juror Reporting Instructions
JUROR REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR:Monday, September 23, 2019
Jurors with a reporting number of 7 through 110 are to report by 9:30 A.M.* to the Jury Assembly Room on LEVEL B of the Courthouse, 20 W. Courtland Street Bel Air, MD 21014.
If you have not yet returned your Juror Qualification Form, these instructions DO NOT apply to you. You MUST REPORT promptly by 9:30 A.M.* and bring your completed form with you.

Please Note: If Juror Instructions are NOT available from this site, please call 410-838-3172 after 5:00 P.M. the evening before your report date (including Sunday) for final reporting instructions.
TO EXPEDITE THE CHECK IN PROCESS, PLEASE REPORT ON TIME AND HAVE YOUR JUROR BADGE READY WHEN YOU REPORT. If you lost your summons/juror badge, please bring your license or photo ID for check in.
Your service is for one day OR one trial/grand jury term. You must plan to be available all day, which could be until 5:00 p.m. or later; however each day is different. We never know ahead of time how the day is going to go. If selected, you are to serve for the duration of the trial. Note: The average trial lasts 2 to 3 days.
Cell phones and other electronic devices (such as laptops, tablets, etc.) are allowed into the courthouse; however use of such devices will be limited to the Jury Assembly Room. Devices must be turned off while inside a courtroom and are not permitted inside the jury deliberation rooms. Devices are not permitted to take or record photographs, video or other audio/visual images in a court facility. Any persons found in violation of electronic device restrictions shall be subject to confiscation of the device, a fine or incarceration at the discretion of the presiding Judge of this Court.
No weapons, knives or sharp objects of any kind are permitted in the courthouse.There will be no provisions available for childcare, so do not bring children.
Jurors park, free of charge, on the roof top level only of the parking garage located on the corner of Courtland Street & Hickory Avenue. Be sure to place your parking permit or a note on your dashboard (visible through the windshield). Note: If the roof top level is CLOSED, you may park on levels 4 and 5 with your permit displayed. The Jury Commissioner's Office will NOT void or pay parking tickets.
If your vehicle exceeds the height of the garage (6 feet, 11 inches) or if you require handicap parking, please contact our office by email or phone BEFORE your report date for parking instructions.
*IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER - IF HARFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED, JURORS ARE CANCELLED. IF SO, YOUR OBLIGATION IS COMPLETE FOR THIS CALENDAR YEAR. IF HARFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS HAVE A DELAYED OPENING, THE SAME APPLIES FOR JURY DUTY. (Example: IF SCHOOLS ARE 2 HOURS LATE, YOU ARE TO REPORT FOR JURY DUTY 2 HOURS LATE. NORMAL START TIME IS 9:30 A.M., 2 HOUR DELAY REPORT TIME WOULD BE 11:30 A.M.)
If you are already seated as a grand juror OR as a juror on a continuing trial/case, you must report as instructed by the State's Attorney's Office (grand jury) or as instructed by the Judge presiding over the case (trial juror). You do not follow the same inclement weather policy.
